Drivloop
Instructors The day in their pocket

An app for driving instructors

Today’s lessons, pickup addresses, the right car, skills checklists and notes. Everything an instructor needs between lessons, on their phone.

Driving instructors spend their day in a car, not at a desk. They need to know where the next student is, which car they’re in, and what that student worked on last time, without calling the office. Drivloop gives instructors their own screens on their phone, built for exactly that.

Today’s lessons at a glance

When an instructor signs in, they see today’s lessons in order: the time, the student, the pickup address or meeting place, and the car. One tap opens directions to the pickup. Another tap calls the student. No more texting the office to ask where to go.

Mark the lesson done, with notes

After a lesson, the instructor marks it done. They can tick the skills the student worked on from a checklist, such as mirrors and blind spots, turns and signals, lane changes, parallel parking, three-point turns and highway merging, and add a short note like “Good on left turns, needs work on lane changes.” If a student didn’t show up, they mark it as a no-show instead.

Those notes don’t disappear into a notebook. The student sees them after the lesson, and the next instructor sees them before the next one. If students switch instructors, nobody starts from zero.

Hours that count automatically

Every lesson marked done counts toward the student’s hours goal. The student sees their progress, like “12 of 20 hours,” and so do you. If a student came to you with hours from somewhere else, you can add those as earlier hours so the total is right. Read our guide on tracking student hours and progress.

Their own week and hours worked

Instructors can look ahead at their week and see the hours they’ve worked. The schedule always matches what the office sees, because it’s the same schedule. When the owner moves a lesson, the instructor’s screen shows the new time.

Set up by the owner

The owner adds each instructor with their weekly working hours, days off and usual car. Drivloop then only offers students times when that instructor is working and free, so instructors never get double-booked. See scheduling software for how that works.

One app, one login

Instructors use the same Drivloop app as owners and students. They sign in with their own email and password and land on their instructor screens. It runs in the phone’s browser and can be added to the home screen with one tap, so it opens like any other app. An Android app is on the way, with iPhone after that.

For owners who teach

If you own the school and teach too, turn on “I also teach lessons.” You get “My lessons” for your own teaching day and keep the full business view, and you switch between them with one tap.

Which plan includes it

The instructor app with skills checklists is listed on the Growth plan ($179/month, up to 6 instructors) and Pro ($249/month, unlimited instructors). Starter is $99/month for up to 2 instructors. Every plan starts with a 30-day free trial, with nothing charged during the trial, no setup fees and no contract. Your instructors don’t pay anything. See pricing.
